All of us at Come Paint With Us are excited to announce that we’re resuming paint classes next week at The Foothills Event Center! Due to the nature of COVID-19, all Come Paint With Us classes in March, April, and May were cancelled. But we’re back now, and we’re kicking things off with a timely painting titled What the World Needs Now. We hope you can join us! “What the World Needs Now” is an acrylic painting that we think is perfect for the unpredictable, turbulent times we’re living in. This image of the world as a heart reminds us that love can conquer all; love makes the world go ’round. Included in your class fee are all the materials you need to paint this painting of love! You will receive a 16×20″ canvas, an apron, easel, paint brushes, acrylic paint, and helpful step-by-step guidance.
Your instructor, Katherine Dorland, will guide you along as you create this vibrant painting. You have the artistic freedom to change colors in the picture to match your preferences or home decor. After a few hours of laughter and fun, you will leave with a work of art you created yourself. Not an artist? That’s totally OK! No experience is necessary, and no talent is required.
Our paint and sip classes happen at The Foothills, Grass Valley’s newest event venue. Many painters enjoy a glass of wine or a cold one, available for purchase from the Foothills bar, as they create their original art piece. The Foothills Event Center has free off-street parking and is always an easy drive; it’s located in Grass Valley, just five minutes from the hub of downtown.
Precautionary Measures
We’re very excited to welcome you back into our studio! We are moving cautiously for the time being for the health and safety of our customers, artists, and staff. The Come Paint With Us studio has been reconfigured to follow the social distancing guidelines recommended by the CDC so you can safely paint, drink, and have fun with your friends and family.
Class sizes will be limited, and we are placing each workspace 6 feet apart. However, if you are from the same household, you’re more than welcome to sit closer together.
Paint brushes, tools, tables, door handles, and other frequently-touched surfaces will be disinfected before and after every class. Hand sanitizer will be provided, and frequent hand washing will be encouraged. Our staff will be wearing masks, and students must wear masks as well.
