give yourself the gift of creativity and come paint with us!Today, Come Paint With Us is excited to share one woman’s story of attending one of our classes. As Shelley tells it, she thought she’d hate paint and sip class but ended up finding out that it was awesome:

“Let me just start out by saying that I’m no artist. When we had art class in elementary school, the teacher would just shake her head when she saw my work. So I was pretty resistant when my best friend Lori told me she wanted to check out a paint and sip class from Come Paint With Us. She wanted to ‘paint and sip’ instead of our usual ladies night out of dinner and drinks.

I have to admit, I was really against Lori’s idea at first. I thought I’d hate paint and sip class, and that my painting would turn out looking like garbage. Not only that, but I’d be embarrassed to pose, holding my painting, for the standard group photo with everyone after the class. But what ended up happening at our Come Paint With Us class was so awesome!

Fun at paint and sip classSure, a couple of glasses of Pinot Grigio helped, but the guidance I got from our teacher Julia was so fabulous! She went around to each of us and gave us one-on-one feedback. We painted flowers, and Julia was able to see that I was struggling with the shading. The afternoon just flew by, we were having so much fun!

All us girls had lots of laughs and produced some really great paintings! I ended up giving mine to my mom for her birthday because she loves sunflowers. I thought I’d hate paint and sip class…but it was awesome! I encourage everyone to give it a try…you won’t be disappointed! I’m actually planning on bringing my sister and niece along to a class when they’re in town!”
