Succulent Workshop on July 19 at The Foothills Event Center

Coming up THIS weekend is our very first “plant and sip” at Come Paint With Us! Our succulent-arranging workshop takes place on Sunday, July 19th, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at The Foothills Event Center. We’re holding this workshop pandemic-style: masks are required during class for your safety and the safety of our community. All students will be placed at least 6 feet apart (unless living in the same household). We love helping people get excited about art! Explore your creativity at this fun and on-trend workshop.

We’ll supply everything you need to create a beautiful, professional-looking succulent arrangement. You’ll have an array of containers to choose from for our workshop, and some are upcycled! The class includes instruction on techniques for selecting succulents, planting and arranging them, as well as best practices for keeping the arrangement vibrant and healthy.

Amber Milner, succulent workshop instructorOur garden design instructor, Amber Milner, will guide you step-by-step through the project. Amber has always had a passion for gardening and designing landscapes, and more recently, creating floral and succulent arrangements. In 2018, Amber founded a community garden at the Sutter County Museum in Yuba City.

About her work for the museum, Amber shares, “In addition to growing vegetables and flowers with fellow plot renters, we hold succulent workshops and swaps multiple times per year. I’ve gained most of my knowledge from researching numerous online resources and of course, trial and error for the best caretaking methods to help succulents thrive in our local climate.” As an experienced teacher, Amber will walk you through the process as you design a gorgeous statement piece for your home or garden! You will also learn the basics of succulent care to keep your unique design healthy for years to come.

Learn about the necessary ingredients and design for a happy and thriving succulent plant environment. Have fun customizing yours with the plants and container of your choosing. All of the necessary supplies will be provided, including:
