The paint and sip experience at Come Paint With Us is very easy-breezy; you just show up, ready to have fun! Still, it’s helpful to know what to expect. If you’re trying to coordinate a large group, this is especially true. Or if you’re trying to persuade your boss to sign your department up for a paint and sip team-building day.
Paint and sip classes mix a professionally-taught painting class with a high-energy atmosphere and a few drinks. The Come Paint With Us studio is inside The Foothills Event Center, which is centrally located just five minutes away from downtown Grass Valley. The Foothills keeps a fully-stocked bar with a wonderful selection of local wine, domestic and imported beer, and premium wine available for purchase. Wine is the most popular drink of choice, but some of our guests choose beer, La Croix, or soda instead.
Paint.
Drink.

So long as you do at least two of the three, you’re in good shape!
Here’s what you can expect at your first paint & sip:
- You don’t need to bring anything
You’ll pay for the class ahead of time, and we provide all of your painting supplies, protective aprons, and drinks, so you don’t have to show up with anything!
Part of the delight of a paint and sip class is that you get to snack and drink while painting, so we’ll have plenty of munchies and beverages on hand. - There’s plenty of space for snacks and drinks
You won’t need to worry about dripping paint on your hummus platter! The Come Paint With Us studio, within the Foothills Event Center’s massive venue, will have plenty of counter space to accommodate food, bottles, plates, and the like. Your instructor will also provide you with occasional breaks so you can top off without missing a brushstroke.
Come Paint With Us arranges your workspace ahead of time, and we make sure that each participant has enough room for their painting supplies as well as their beverages and snacks. So, there’s no need to worry about dripping paint on your cheese platter! - You can be a total newbie to painting
What’s great about Come Paint With Us classes is that they’re geared towards any skill level. That means even someone who has absolutely no experience with painting can come in, paint, and leave with a masterpiece! - Classes are 2 ½ to 3 hours long
The length of your Come Paint With Us class will depend on what medium you’re painting in (acrylic or watercolor). Our watercolor classes last for two and a half hours, while acrylic painting classes are three hours long. Plan on an evening (or afternoon) full of fun and creativity! - It’s super-easy to hear the instructor
There’s no need for you to know a single thing about painting before arriving! Your Come Paint With Us instructor will talk you through everything you need to know, from how much water to add to your watercolor creation to what sort of brush strokes to use. We always make sure each participant can hear the instructor. Depending on the class size, we use a microphone. Plus, everyone will receive one-on-one guidance as the instructor walks around to see if anyone needs help.
