Finally, the kids are back in school. Not that we don’t absolutely love them, but they sure can be a handful during the summer break!
But once they’re back into their daily school routine, what about us moms? We’re readjusting our daily routine too since we don’t have the kids during the day. What will you do with all this kid-free time? Some call this the post-summer blues. But there’s no need to stay down in the dumps.
The best way to adjust to a significant change is to embrace it and then meet it head-on with things to occupy your time. Sure, you’ll need to tackle your to-do, packed with constructive activities like meal-planning, laundry, and errands. But why not plan some activities with your mom friends that are just plain fun, such as a paint and sip class?

We’ll provide you with step-by-step guidance on how to create this vibrant painting of poppy fields. “I created this fun and spontaneous acrylic painting in celebration of summertime, and the explosive bloom we experience after lots of rain!” shares instructor Julia Ward.
High Sierra
Wednesday, October 2nd from 6:00 to 8:30 pm
This is a favorite among many! At this paint and sip class, you’ll capture the gorgeous Sierra Foothills. “I recently took a weekend trip to do a collection of compositions capturing the beauty of the late summer days in the Sierras,” says instructor Julia Ward. The famous bright colored leaves of the fall season in the high Sierra are the focus of this vibrant painting.
Fall Reflections
Wednesday, October 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm
We’ll be painting these beautiful, vivid reflections of trees in watercolor. Savor on refreshments from the historic Gold Country bar at the Foothills Event Center as you create this vivid depiction of a cherished river spot by the mountains. This painting is a great piece of work to hang in your living room, bedroom, or family room. Or, give it as a gift to your friend with a Fall birthday!
