Come Paint With Us is hosting a paint and sip event that will benefit a local Nevada County non-profit organization, The Nest Family Resource. The event is happening on Thursday, April 26th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. We’ll be guiding you along step-by-step as you create this beautiful painting of a peacock showing off his colorful plumage. We think the peacock painting subject is very befitting for this organization’s name, which reminds us of birds nesting! You can give this community resource your support by attending next month’s paint and sip class. The funds raised from this painting class allow The Nest to keep offering low-cost and no-cost support for new families.
The Nest is a wonderful childbirth and parenting resource, serving all of Nevada County. Katie DaMota founded The Nest in 2013 to provide families in our area with the same trusted community support and networking for birthing and parenting that she had established in the Bay Area. The Nest’s experienced team of professionals help women and their families during pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
We hope you can come paint with us at this fun evening class! We encourage you to invite your friends: the more, the merrier! A percentage of this class’ proceeds will go toward The Nest’s wonderful cause of supporting our community one baby at a time.
Come Paint With Us will provide all the supplies you need to paint this gorgeous peacock. When you arrive at the event, we’ll have painting stations set up for each attendee. At your painting station, you’ll find your own acrylic paints, an easel, apron, and the appropriate brushes. Julia Ward, our Artistic Director, created this rendition of a peacock. She’ll be giving you step-by-step instruction so that you can create a beautiful painting, suitable for hanging up in your home or gifting to someone.
