What will they think of next?! Did you know that Google launched a new experience that allows you to search artwork from museums? It lets you easily discover the world’s best art museums from wherever you are, on your computer, tablet, or smartphone!
If you Google an artist, you’ll now be led to an interactive search result that lets you see collections of the artist’s work. It also allows you to scroll through art museums to see the paintings on the wall.
You can click to see some of the art pieces as high-resolution images. With Google Maps, you can virtually “walk through” museums with explanations and info on the wall next to each piece.
According to Google’s blog post about this, “…when you search for art-related things, you’ll have access to more relevant results and the ability to dive deeper into topics of interest.” Google currently gets 500 million art-related searches per month.
